MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

The world today is a very harsh place to grow up in. The crime and gangs are all around and pitted deeply into our neighborhoods and schools. I, as a Kiwanian am deeply concerned with this growing problem. I know that we can not reach every child out there, but I have a lighter heart knowing that The Kiwanis Club of Pinellas Park along with all the Clubs in Division 13, The District of Florida and the Kiwanis International are at work teaching the children of the world a better way of living. It is my turn as President of our Club to make sure that our first thougt as Kiwanians is for the children of our community. I am going to try to be at every meeting, weekly and Board, all events and fund raisers and be on constant alert for a child that needs help. As I have said before, this is The Heart of Kiwanis.

KIWANIS CLUB OF PINELLAS PARK PROFILE

Meetings: We are a luncheon club that meets every Thursday at Noon at The Park Train Station - 5851 Park Boulevard in Pinellas Park.

Board Meetings: Board Meetins are held the first Thursday of every month at 8:00 AM at the Pinellas Park Library at 7770 52nd Street North in Pinellas Park. All members are invited to attend board meetings.

Annual Banquet: Our annual banquet is held in September. The purpose is to install the new slate of officers and directors for the new year beginning October 1st.

Division/District: Our club was started 1960 and is one of 8 clubs in Division 13, which is in Pinellas County South of Ulmerton Road. The other clubs in our Division are Gulf Beaches, Midtown, St Petersburg, Seminole, Seminole Breakfast and Sunshine City. Our club is in the Florida District.

Division Council Meetings: There is a meeting each quarter at one of the clubs in the Division to which each club sends one or more members. Division business is discussed. Any member may attend and the meal cost is paid by our club.
